Core Returns

For your core return to be acceptable, West Coast Governor Service will only accept the exact same brand and model number propeller governor (or Constant Speed Unit or Overspeed Governor) as the one you purchased. The core being returned must be in overhaulable condition.

Cores returned must be complete and “AS REMOVED” from the engine on which they were operating.  Returning an incomplete and/or damaged core or a core different from the model/part number of the governor requested in exchange will result in deductions from the core deposit.  Some cores may be unacceptable and may be of zero value as a core. Cores that are damaged, antiques, red tagged, beyond tolerances, not of the appropriate model/part number, have major parts missing, or that do not have data plates, for example, may be rejected and will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense AND written request.  WCGS will dispose of such governors unless the customer pays to have it returned within 30 days.

Shipping Policy

Order cutoff time is 2:00 pm CST, $100.00 AOG Fee will apply on all orders placed after 2:00 pm. shipping same day.

Unless otherwise specified, items will be shipped within 4 business days of receipt of order.

Standard shipping is within the continental United States and will be UPS Ground or USPS Priority. Expedited shipping is available at the buyer’s request and expense.

If you would like to use your shipping account (UPS, DHL or Fed-Ex) we will provide you with package weight and dimensions so you can process the label and email it to us so we may attach it to your package.

Shipping is responsibility of the buyer, insurance protection is recommended on all sales, buyer is responsible for any damage to item due to shipping FOB Tulare, CA.

All COD transactions will ship on our FedEx account (PrePay Add) P-1 or P-2 only

COD over $1,000.00 require certified funds.

Oversize items will ship common carrier freight.

Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii will be determined as per UPS or FedEx rates.

Shipping arrangements to foreign countries will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Any import duties, value added taxes, fees or tariffs are the buyer’s responsibility.

Credit Card and Wire Transfer Policy

3% Visa/MC/Discover/Paypal. 3.5% Amex fee.    
This Fee is Non-refundable as this is the policy of Credit Card companies (Not Ours)

International wire transfer fee $45.00 per transaction.

Domestic wire transfer fee $35.00 per transaction.

Return Policy

All return requests must be made within the warranty time period starting at the date of sale.

West Coast Governor Sales LLC reserves the right to refuse unauthorized returns.

Part(s) must be returned to West Coast Governor Service, 6627 Dale Fry Road, Tulare, CA 93274, transportation charges prepaid. No COD shipments will be accepted.

Part(s) must include WCGS RMA Authorization sheet.

Part(s) must be returned in the exact same condition as originally shipped from WCGS, without modifications, trimmed or painted. Any Safety Seal/Sticker that is tampered with will void the warranty.

All Part(s) must be returned with all paperwork supplied with the part(s). All part(s) that ship with an 8130-3, must have original 8130-3 returned with the part.

In many cases, West Coast Governor Service is not the warrantor of the various manufacturers’ products it represents but administers warranties for the manufacturers according to their policies. If the warranty is denied for any reason by the manufacturer, the purchaser agrees to pay the total cost of all replacement and repairs and any attorney fees and other costs that may be incurred in the collection of services rendered.

All part(s) may be subject to a 25% or $25.00 (whichever is greater) restock fee, unless the return is due to our error, or the part is found to be defective.

All refunds and or warranty considerations are at the sole discretion of West Coast Governor Sales LLC and will either replace the part within 30 days or issue in store credit.

All Refunds will be credited to the Buyers in-store account toward future purchase.

No returns are accepted after the Warranty time period.

Limited Warranty

Overhauls – All governors that are “Newly Overhauled” will carry a Limited Warranty*, to be free of defects in materials replaced and workmanship for FIFTY (50) HOUR or 12 MONTHS (Whichever happens first). The sole obligation of West Coast Governor Service herein is to replace, at its option, any item(s) found to be defective. Any defective item in question must be returned with transportation charges prepaid to West Coast Governor Service. In no event shall West Coast Governor Service be liable for incidental and/or consequential damages including loss of income or profits, loss of time, lost sales or economic loss. This Limited Warranty does not include crankshaft leakage, damage due to object strike, excessive blade wear due to aircraft operation, sludge, or de-icer heater damage. Propeller/governor must have been maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations in order for this warranty to remain valid. The governor must be installed by a licensed mechanic A&P/IA. In case of a warranty issue, we reserve the right to request direct contact with the A&P/IA who performed the installation of the governor. This warranty does not include removal and re-installation of the propeller or governor. This warranty is transferable, only if the original Work Order and Serviceable Parts Tag (yellow tag or 8130) are transferred with the propeller or governor.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

* West Coast Governor Service bears no responsibility or liability due to manufacturer’s design.

Agricultural, Aerobatic & Experimental – All Governors Newly Overhauled, Resealed or Repaired will carry a TWENTY FIVE (25) HOUR or 12 MONTH Limited Warranty* (Whichever happens first), except if the Original Equipment Manufacturer’s recommendation is less, that specific recommendation will apply.
